More Ima Bee July Blocks

Here are two more Circle of Geese paper pieced blocks for my Flickr Bee.   The first one here was a totally scrappy, messed up version that I tried first before realizing it wasn't supposed to be scrappy.  Brilliant me said, self, make two at the same time to make it easier on yourself.  Hence the mostly warm colors with one quadrant of cool colors.  I'm sending it because why not?  Maybe she'll hide use it on the back :P  The next one is my favorite.  I really gravitate towards cool colors personally, and I love the black background fabric!

This hurts my eyes!

Much more soothing :)

I love the crazy bright flock of geese, especially the grey prints in the center star. So fun!

I'm with the others. That first block is a delight! My fave, too! Great finishes, Emily!

Hope you don't mind, but I just had to share this on my facebook page with a link back, at http://facebook.com/sewfreshquilts

Um I think it's amazing, but I don't see a goose circle. I see an amazing star! Then I read your post, and the optical illusion showed up...maybe it would show u better for a circle of geese if everything but the geese was black. But I do love the star, and the colors are soothing.
Where can I find out how to do the circle of geese?

The second one does look more starlike but the busy first one has more impact for me. I made the circle of geese for Craftsy BOM and had one corner section flying the wrong way. I love your choice in fabrics changing up the block!
